Logan has no grandiose visions of making millions of dollars, quitting his day job, and retiring to Majorca. He’s just looking for something to keep his mind busy, and if that art happens to bring joy to those around him that’s a pretty neat bonus.
Logan loves experimenting with different mediums, and is equally uncomfortable with watercolor, ink, charcoal, graphite, and oil pastels. The process of experimenting is really what gets him excited.
Logan works as a band director in Eastern Iowa, where he lives with his wife, daughter, and cat. He uses decent equipment in his “art studio” which is actually just a folding table in his musty basement. When drawing or painting, he is usually listening to an audiobook.

Logan Vander Wiel, a music teacher by training, has had a real passion for art since childhood. While he spent his formative years invested heavily in the visual arts, he set down the pencils and paints in college to focus on music.
